Cookie and Local Storage Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026. This page describes the browser storage actually used by this build and the optional integrations prepared but not currently configured.
1. Current technology state
At launch, the configuration fields for GA4, Google Tag Manager, Cookiebot and reCAPTCHA are empty. The site therefore does not load those optional services. Google Maps is not configured. Search Console verification is also not embedded in the page.
2. Essential storage
The contact form uses a PHP session to support CSRF protection. Your hosting environment may therefore set a session cookie when the form is used. This storage is necessary for form security and is not used for advertising.
The privacy-choice interface stores a small record named menvira_privacy_v1 in browser local storage. It records whether analytics was allowed so that the site can remember the visitor's choice. Local storage is not transmitted automatically with every HTTP request in the way cookies are.
3. Optional analytics
The site contains a disabled integration hook. If a real GTM ID is later entered, GTM will load only after the visitor has allowed analytics. If no GTM ID exists but a real GA4 ID is added, GA4 may load directly after analytics consent. The implementation avoids loading both paths at the same time to reduce accidental duplicate measurement.
Before enabling analytics in production, the operator should review this policy and the Privacy Policy, confirm what tags are placed inside GTM, and ensure consent choices actually control those tags.
4. Advertising storage
This build does not load advertising tags, ad-personalisation tags or an affiliate tracking script. If affiliate tracking technology is later added, its storage and consent requirements must be documented before activation.
5. Managing preferences
You can open “Privacy choices” in the footer at any time. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent access to the editorial content or contact details. You can also clear site data using your browser settings; if you do that, the preference banner may appear again.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers let you delete or block cookies and site storage. Blocking all storage may interfere with security controls on forms. Browser settings are separate from the preference interface provided by MenVira.
7. Changes
This page must be revised if the production site introduces Cookiebot, reCAPTCHA, embedded maps, additional analytics tags, affiliate-tracking cookies or other third-party storage. The policy is intentionally tied to the actual code rather than a generic list of services.
